What happens when you give paddles to a bunch of competitive and food loving professionals? They form Lightwave and compete locally and outside the Bay Area in the wet, intense sport of dragon boat racing.
Our team has been in existence since 1996 when dragon boat racing
first became a sport in the Bay Area. We are a co-ed team and comprise
of numerous nationalities. And although we practice hard and win racing
trophies/medals, dragon boating is also an excuse for all of us to
simply hangout and eat together after each practice session in Redwood
City or San Francisco.
So, if you are competitive, interested in a new sport, want to be
part of a great team, or just love to eat out. Don’t wait! Stop by
practice and grab a paddle! We encourage you to send us an email at jointeamlightwave@gmail.com.
